Blog moving, sort of...

For the past year or so, I haven't really been posting to my blogs (www.nocomplynews.com or www.stillskateboarding.com) and I've been feeling antsy to do something to consolidate the two.  I want to focus on StillSkateboarding.com because I like the straightforward name of it.  I feel like with NoComplyNews, some people, mainly non skateboarders don't get the name. I know I shouldn't care, it's just that I want everybody to get it. 

So, I've copied all my posts from here over to www.stillskateboarding.com and am now going to just post on that site exclusively....well, at least that's the plan. :)  I won't delete the NoComply blog even though it's just the same posts but I might drop the domain name down the road...apparently I have sentimental attachment to my blogs or maybe it's just I could never decide which name I liked better.  I'm so indecisive sometimes!  

The thing that bothers me the most is that NoComplyNews has many more page views than I could ever imagine from being indexed on Google and I hate to stop contributing to it, but I guess If I keep contributing to StillSkateboarding that I will see it grow like NoComply did.  I guess we'll just have to see...

JIMMY'Z welcomes Steve Caballero back to the Z TEAM!

True Legendz!  One Legend (Jim Ganzer) welcoming another Legend (Steve Caballero) to the team! :)

Jeff over at Jeff's Skateboard blog posted a article where he mentions that he is wearing a Jimmy'Z mock turtle neck from 1989 which got me reminiscing about the 80s and how I loved the clothing brand Jimmy'Z back then.  So I went looking on the internet and found that Jimmy'Z has made or is in the process of a comeback!  Awesome!  Love to see great brands like this comeback. :)

New Balance Skate Shoes?

Whoa, I used to always think of New Balance sneakers as "My Dad's Sneakers".  Even when I bought a pair of running shoes I thought the same thing, but they were on sale at the time. :)  Even when buying them for my kids, I just couldn't get rid of that stigma I had attached to them.  So to see them now joining the skate shoe market.  Well, in my mind, now they are officially cool. :)

Apparently it is a partnership with Jamie Thomas's Black Box Distribution.  The shoes are slated to be out in retail outlets in July 2013.  Read more about it at
